We are pleased to welcome Jasmine Minato Williams to the Meritus team as our new Career Advisor! Jasmine is a 2012 Meritus Scholar from Balboa High School. She recently graduated from UC San Diego in La Jolla, California with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Public Policy.
While at UCSD, Jasmine avidly participated in research for the political science department including education policy analysis of California Prop 209 and a comparative European politics gender equity study. Fluent in French, Jasmine spent a summer abroad in Paris, where she studied jazz music. In her final quarter, Jasmine participated in the UC Washington program where she interned and took courses on the Supreme Court. She joins the Meritus team after having previous internships with Wells Fargo, the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office – British Government, the Organization For Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), and California Senator Dianne Feinstein.
Jasmine’s passion for helping Meritus Scholars is rooted in a desire to work in the community that supported her. She aims to actively provide students with necessary tools and guidance to become prepared, sharp young professionals. In her spare time, Jasmine likes to make mochi to share with friends and family, read Monocle magazine, and is currently on a quest to find the best soul food in San Francisco.
